HyperX Cloud Flight Price

The HyperX Cloud Flight wireless gaming headset price is $127. You will be able to find the gaming headset on merchant stores like Walmart, eBay, Amazon, and a couple of other smaller gaming accessory stores.

HyperX Cloud Flight Design

The HyperX Cloud Flight wireless gaming headset doesn’t vibe too differently from other HyperX gaming headsets in that the design language, the sturdy feel and the premium look is maintained. This headband, though, comes with a detachable boom mic, the oval is large enough, and the ear cups swivel to lay flat when packing the headset for movement or when relaxing.

In addition to being the first headset from HyperX to come with a wireless feature, it also happens to be the first headset from the brand to have the built-in logo lights on the earcups. The headset is pretty lightweight, comes with a headband that stretches, and can adjust to fit different head sizes. The design, its wireless feature, the ability to detach the mic, and the light weight makes it a headset that can also be your daily driver.

The mic, the power button, and a mute switch are all built into the left earcup of the HyperX Cloud Flight wireless headset. The right earcup houses the volume knob. The one downside I saw with this volume knob was its inability to independently control the volume when gaming or chatting, which is the very purpose of having the knob there on a gaming headset.

The headset also sports faux leather on the earpads which add to the headset comfort. The earpads don’t cause sweating on the ears, doesn’t press on the ears too hard, and it feels comfortable on the skin. As for the earcups, I felt it could have been a little bigger as some people with bigger ears might have issues with having the earcups fitting around the ears.

While the headset doesn’t press on the ears too hard, they are tight fitting to the right degree. This helps to give you the right grip while not making the headset too free that it would easily fall off.

I loved how much detail was put into this gaming headset build, coupled with the fact that it comes with a sturdy quality plastic casing, solid joints that help to get better swivels, lightweight, and its simple USB dongle for connections.

Battery

It takes around 2 hours to charge this gaming headset from 0 to 100%. Without the LED, the gaming headset is said to be able to run for around 30 hours, while with the breathing LED, you should expect around 18 hours of juice, and 13 hours of juice if you have the solid LED.

The headset also comes with a 3.5mm audio connector in case you choose not to use the battery or the battery runs out. I noticed, though, that while the headphones worked well with the cable, the mic doesn’t seem to work in the wired mode.

Headphones

The HyperX Cloud Flight is one of the best sounding headsets I have played with. I loved how the emphasis was placed on the bass and treble without the sounds hitting too hard. The highs are livelier than I have seen on many gaming headsets while the lows still manage to create a punch, but aren’t too deep or intense.

The HyperX Cloud Flight doesn’t come with virtual surround sound 7.1 out of the box, you’d need a software to have that added on. But when I did, I noticed a better improvement in the sound of my Fortnite gaming, one video game that has a very high demand for quality audio. I did notice an improvement in the positional accuracy after using the 7.1 surround sound, so you should have the software installed if you plan to use this headset for competitive gaming.

The headset also allows you to easily switch between surround sound and stereo. I played other games like Halo: Master Chief, Dauntless, Star Wars Jedi, and Fallen Order, and the HyperX Cloud Flight did a very good job. Overall, for gaming and for my daily use as I move, the HyperX Cloud Flight delivered solid sound quality.

HyperX Cloud Flight Mic Test and Review

The HyperX Cloud Flight gaming headset comes with a detachable noise-cancellation mic. This makes it very easy to switch this headset between being your go-to gaming headset and being your daily driver. This headset is a great option for basic streaming, video conferencing, and work.

If you’re into pro gaming or video making, this headset might not give you the best when it comes to audio quality. You can easily mute and unmute this mic by pressing on the plate of the left earcup. You’ll normally get a beeping sound when you either mute or unmute the headset.

The HyperX Cloud Flight does a good job of picking sound from one direction and ignoring background noise. Other gamers noted that the headset did that well, so it’s a pass on that front.
