So Microsoft Zune just made a large leap. Literally, across the Atlantic. The Zune Marketplace is now available in some parts of Europe. This makes it should like the Windows Phone 7 will be coming soon behind.
This release says that all 11 million tracks in the US and 8 million tracks in UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany will be available. Yes those countries are in Europe!And now for the Zune Pass. The US price is still $US15, but it will be 9.99 euros or 8.99 pounds. There are some limitations;
- The Zune Pass will only be in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy and Spain.
- The Zune music purchase will only be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Spain and Germany.
- The Zune Video purchase will only be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- The Zune movie rental will only be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The first thing you, (and everyone) will notice is just how incredibly sexy the Zune HD is. The sleek casing and big, glossy touchscreen are one of a kind features of the Zune HD. The body is brushed metal with plastic edging. The screen is a 3.3 inch OLED display. Beneath the screen, is a sliver of a home button. The rear of this device has a slight curve on the sides. The bottom of the device includes the Zune adapter port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Opposite of that, at the top of the device, is a hidden power button. On the left hand side there is the media button. With this button you can bring up the media navigation menu. Here you get options for back/forward and volume adjustment.
