As promised, Star Trek Deep Space Nine is now available on Netflix instant streaming. Back in April Star Trek was announced to be added to Netflix streaming but lacked Deep Space Nine. Netflix promised to add the series in October and now it's here. I for one think DS9 was one of the greatest Star Trek series to date. I have just finished watching Voyager and TNG on Netflix, now I will start DS9.

I grew up with Star Trek, mostly Picard, Wil Wheaton and The Next Generation cast. It is hard to believe that it has already been 45 years since the beginning of the epic saga Star Trek. From Captain Kirk (TOS) to Captain Picard (TNG) to Captain Janeway (Voyager) to Captain Sisko (DS9) to Captain Archer (Enterprise) and back to the new Captain Kirk (Star Trek 2009) it has been a great journey. I have truely enjoyed Star Trek and I feel that it has been the best sci-fi series ever created and can never be topped. This is great news for all the Star Trek fans out there. Starting in July, every episode from every Star Trek series will be available for Instant Watch over Netflix, Ds9 in October. Right now Star Trek TOS is available for Instant watch and the movies but that's all. Soon it will all be here for our viewing pleasure.

Firstly Netflix confirmed they will be streaming every episode of every season for all five live-action Star Trek series: the original Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. TOS, TNG, Voyager and Enterprise will all become available on July 1st. DS9 will launch on October 1st. TOS and Enterprise will be available in HD.

This new deal between CBS and Netflix will make Netflix the first service to offer commercial free Star Trek. No other place online has ever offered TNG, Voyager, TOS, or Enterprise to stream online. The deal is only available to USA customers at this time and will be available for 2 years with an option to extend an additional 2. Again Picard says Make it so....
