Each day, Google displays around 3 billion search results from around the world. But what happens when people don't find what they are looking for right away? The infographic below explains how we as a society have grown impatient with waiting for results and expect results instantaneously.

This is an interesting move by Google but not completely off the rocker for them. Last year they blocked search results from the co.cc domain because they believed they polluted the search results. Google plans to penalize overly optimized sites because they want to level the playing field for other websites who do not concentrate on such efforts. Basically there are sites out there that completely focus their efforts on SEO and not content and those results would rank higher than sites that don't focus on SEO.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt is appearing in front of a Senate Committee with accusations that Google's search results are being influenced. The accusations also accuse Google of favoring its own results above others on the internet. Google is the dominant search engine on the internet which controls 65% of the search volume on the internet. Google has the potential to either make or ruin a business. Google results bring in over 90% of traffic on many different websites. Google is being accused of a monopoly antitrust because of its position in the search arena. Google has substantial advertising revenues and owns a variety of different companies and services it offers. Google has expanded into many different areas and has raised concerns that Google has moved into deceptive practices on the internet. Yahoo has announced today that it has replaced CEO Carol Bartz with CFO Tim Morse temporarily until a new CEO is named. Bartz was removed from her leadership role by the board likely because of her rough attitude. She was actually fired over the phone by the Chairman of the Board Roy Bostock.

Google has taken the attack on malware into its own hands today as it blocks the entire co.cc subdomain. The block removed about 11 million results from the Google search index which should dramatically clean up much malware in search results. Read more inside
