Apple released an update to Java bringing the version on Mac to 1.6.0_31 for Mac's running OS X. This patch actually closes multiple vulnerabilities that were found in the previous Java version being 1.6.0_29. The most serious exploit that it patched was the allowance of malicious code to be executed by visiting a compromised website.

Mac OSX update 10.6.3 was released earlier this week and addressed many issues with current Macs. One of the issues it corrected was the airport 802.1x authentication issue that I have covered on my site.

A flaw in IE was discovered which was responsible for the most recent Google attacks. Users are advised to download the update to protect their systems from remote execution exploit.
