Comex answers questions about his future involvement in the Jailbreak community

Nicholas Allegra better known as Comex has gone to work for Apple in an internship. He came onto Reddit yesterday to answer a few questions about his future involvement in the Jailbreak community.

Unfortunately he probably won’t be able to partake in jailbreaking Apple devices in the near future because he is working for them. Most likely he will have to sign some sort of form that will bar him from partaking in the activity.

As indicated on Reddit, Comex will now assist Apple in finding exploits in the current and future iOS versions. Check out part of the Q&A inside.

Comex To Work For Apple

Nicholas Allegra better known as Comex has been offered an internship from Apple.

Comex is a part of the iPhone Dev Team whom created the Jailbreakme exploit. Jailbreakme is one of the easiest Jailbreak methods that exist for iPhone users. All a user has to do is visit a website and swipe their finger to Jailbreak their iPhone. This method is much easier than that of other methods found on the internet.

Comex had made a tweet on his twitter profile indicating that he will indeed be heading to Apple.

So, the week after next I will be starting an internship with Apple. –@Comex

Comex had commented on his ability to exploit Apple’s security measures  “It feels like editing an English paper,” Allegra said. “You just go through and look for errors. I don’t know why I seem to be so effective at it.”  He has also been programming since he was only 9 and is self taught.

Jailbreakme up for auction

The popular site which allowed users to jailbreak their iOS device by just visiting the site is now up for sale. We are not sure if this has anything to do with the JailbreakMe 3.0 leak which happened yesterday, but the domain is indeed up for auction.

The domain is currently going for $2,500 and was appraised at only a mere $316.50 but has 27 offers currently. We aren’t sure who currently owns the domain because the whois information does not reveal that at this time. Comex was the original person behind the JailbreakMe site but he never actually owned the domain he just distributed the Jailbreak on the site.

The current owner of the site most likely believed that he would make some cash off the domain because of its popularity. If the domain sells, most likely the tool may be distributed some where else, maybe on the Cydia store.
