So today the iPhone 4 was released, millions of inpatient customers had to wait in very long lines to get their hands on Steve Jobs newest creation. The wait in line was well worth it once the iPhone was in your hands. But the day did not go off without a hitch, and I will explain.
First, I was at the Apple Store in Indianapolis, Indiana (Keystone) and the Apple Store there happens to be in a Simon Mall. So Of’course Simon Mall Security would not let us near the property till 6am. Well there were at least a couple thousand people there, so the police were called and we were ushered off the mall property. Well eventually it became too much for the police and they left it to the mall cops so eventually we got in line. Here are a few pictures below and a video.read more

With the release of the new iOS 4 today, it did not go without problems but I bet you are thinking, what apps actually support iOS 4? Well I took a look at my phone and have compiled a short list of useful apps that have upgraded to fully support iOS 4 today.
The first on my list is Dropbox, The have released an update that says their app is iOS 4.0 tested and also supports all the features on both the iPad and iPhone. Get it here on itunes
Wordpress, The new Wordpress app has been released with iOS 4.0 compatibility, and also supports the retina display on the iPhone 4. The update also addresses, better app performance, UI improvements, and bug fixes. Get the app here.

Well, iOS 4 was indeed released today, but many users are reporting being stuck at the backup stage on their device. So, if you have not started the install of iOS 4 yet, I would hold off and see if Apple has anything to say about this. It seems that the backup that the update performs before the update is crawling incredibly slow for some reason. Example below:
