East and West clash under a setting sun. In this Ninja Assassin meets High Plains Drifter action flick, Yang, a member of the Sad Flute ninja clan, is sent to slaughter all the members of a rival clan. When he can’t bring himself to murder their leader's infant daughter and last member he must escape to America now hunted by his former clansmen. Once there, Yang finds himself in a broken town needing a protector. Audiences won’t be wowed by an original story here. The Warrior’s Way instead relies heavily on the novelty of mismatched eastern and western elements. More inside:
A movie production studio Method Pictures teamed up with director Dan Wang to create Helljumper. Helljumper will be a first fan made Halo movie series which will debut in January 2012. From watching the trailer the movie doesn't look all that bad. The effects are just what you would expect for a fan made movie and can do nothing but get better as time progresses. Helljumper will chronicle the story of one Halo: ODST from before the Human-Covenant War to around the Fall of Reach within the Halo timeline. The movie will chronicle his 27 years of the losing battle against the covenant and his experiences with devastation. The full trailer is inside:
So I stumbled across this short film called XXIT made by Stargate Studios during my browsing today. The film is only 11 minutes long but leaves me longing for a much longer version. The film is set in a sci-fi futuristic city with a woman that looks to be trying to escape from the police. The woman also looks to be trying to save her husband from some mistake that happened in the past or in some futuristic virtual world. The film also has a very similar feel to the movie Blade Runner, minus the light up umbrellas.

The book will take quite a while to listen to but from what I have heard and read it is worth it.
Netflix had their earnings call today which revealed some interesting information. It was predicted that Netflix would lose up to 1 Million subscribers this year due to price changes and it appears that the numbers were true. Netflix's figures show a loss of 800,000 subscribers over the last quarter while subscriber numbers were still up 42% yearly. Netflix subscriber losses are down 145% from the last quarter and are expected to continue to fall as users leave the service because of recent pricing changes and loss of confidence in the company. Netflix recently split its DVD service from Streaming and made a company called Qwikster and has since reverted to its original model and cancelled the Qwikster plans.
