Black HTC One Looks to See the Light of Day

HTC One in that chrome and and white finish may not appeal to everyone so Sprint and AT&T are teasing the release of a black variant of the popular Android handset. Both carriers have uploaded a product page for the new black color with out posting a solid street release date. So for those looking for a more dark monolithic version of the HTC One will need to wait a bit longer if they choose to hold out for that color.

AT&T Announces Highest iPhone Launch Sales Yet

AT&T LogoAT&T has handled the iPhone since its first launch in 2007 when AT&T was chosen as the launch carrier in the US. AT&T has stated that the iPhone 5 was their biggest launch so far in terms of units sold on opening day. The iPhone 5 was actually sold out on Apple’s website for launch day shipments. AT&T was quoted saying:

AT&T set a sales record with iPhone 5 over the weekend, making it the fastest-selling iPhone the company has ever offered. Customers ordered more iPhones from AT&T than any previous model, both on its first day of preorders and over the weekend.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note available on February 19th

The Samsung Galaxy Note was expected to release on AT&T sometime this year, but we never had a finalized date. We that date has been announced and it will be on February 19th that the carrier will be selling this behemoth of a smartphone to new and existing customers. The device will also be available for pre-order this upcoming Sunday on February 5th. According to AT&T, customers who are eager to get their hands on the Samsung Note can pre-order at the AT&T website or any AT&T corporate and all orders processed by Feb. 15 will arrive by Feb. 17.

AT&T Raises Pricing on Data Plans Yet Again

It seems like a price hike is the center of the conversation almost every time there is a report about AT&T these past few years. Well today is not going to be any different as AT&T will be raising the price on all data plans for smartphone and tablet customers starting next week. Starting January 22, the new data plans will be $20 for 300MB (up from $15 for 200MB), $30 for 3GB (up from $25 for 2GB), and $50 for 5GB (up from $45 FOR 4GB). Existing customers are unaffected at the moment as they are grandfathered into their existing data plans unless they wish to upgrade for more data. The new prices only pertain to new customers or existing customers adding on new lines of service.
