Don’t Like The New Facebook Newsfeed? Change It

Facebook launched some major changes to it's Newsfeed in the past week, in preparation for their upcoming developers conference, and as usual, many people are frustrated. Normally I'm not one of them. I try to embrace the new changes because there's not much that can be done to change them. This time however, the change really frustrates me. I don't like Facebook's algorithms deciding which of my friends are important and which aren't, I want to see the entire Newsfeed with all status updates.

Verizon Defends AT&T T-Mobile Merger

Verizon Communications chief executive Lowell McAdam has announced that he is supporting the AT&T T-Mobile merger. He warned that the Government has no choice but to let the deal go though unless they want to fix the current spectrum problems. He went on to say “We need to be very thoughtful on what the impacts would be to the overall industry if this is a way to regulate the industry without actually passing regulation.” The current telcos need more wireless spectrum to continue expanding and operating efficiently so they have resorted to acquiring other companies.

OnLive Launches in UK with 150 titles

The cloud-gaming company OnLive has lunched its services in the UK with BT as a partner. This is OnLive’s first expansion outside of the United States and the launch comes with all the games that OnLive supports on their platform.

Netflix Expands Deal With Discovery Communications

The two-year agreement places shows like "Man vs. Wild" and "How its Made" onto Netflix instant streaming. This deal comes shortly after Netflix splits up its DVD rental service from the streaming service. Google is the dominant search engine on the internet which controls 65% of the search volume on the internet. Google has the potential to either make or ruin a business. Google results bring in over 90% of traffic on many different websites. Google is being accused of a monopoly antitrust because of its position in the search arena. Google has substantial advertising revenues and owns a variety of different companies and services it offers. Google has expanded into many different areas and has raised concerns that Google has moved into deceptive practices on the internet.
