Family Research Speaks Out Against Star Wars Game’s Relationships

Bioware is apparently planning to introduce same-sex relationships within The Old Republic Star Wars MMORPG, but Family Research is up in arms over the issue. Family Research is a nonprofit organization based in Washington D.C., and claims itself to be "the leading voice for the family in our nation's halls of power." Family Research has issued a statement condemning Bioware's use of homosexuality in the Star Wars gaming universe.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note available on February 19th

The Samsung Galaxy Note was expected to release on AT&T sometime this year, but we never had a finalized date. We that date has been announced and it will be on February 19th that the carrier will be selling this behemoth of a smartphone to new and existing customers. The device will also be available for pre-order this upcoming Sunday on February 5th. According to AT&T, customers who are eager to get their hands on the Samsung Note can pre-order at the AT&T website or any AT&T corporate and all orders processed by Feb. 15 will arrive by Feb. 17.

Jon Rubinstein departs from HP

The former CEO of Palm, turned webOS VP at Hewlett-Packard (HP), Jon Rubinstein has decided to cal it quits. Jon agreed to work with HP for a committed 24 months when they bought Palm and now that term has come to its end. Jon's time with HP has seen many different role shifts for himself and that of other executives at the company, and we think the writing was on the wall for Jon to leave HP eventually.

Nintendo announces Nintendo Network for the Wii U

Nintendo's President, Satoru Iwata, has recently announced a new online gaming service called the "Nintendo Network." The Nintendo Network will be available for 3DS handhelds as well as the new future console from Nintendo, the Wii U. According to Nintendo the new service will support multiple personal user accounts per system, foster the competition and online interaction, and availability of downloadable content (DLC) for games as well.

First Impressions: Final Fantasy XIII-2

I recently received my review copy of Final Fantasy XIII-2 for PlayStation 3. After playing Square Enix's new Final Fantasy installment for about two hours, I have been able to form a pretty solid opinion about things that I find to be improvements, and aspects that I do not like about the game. I will attempt to delineate these without giving away any storyline elements that were not present in the downloadable demo.
