HTC One in that chrome and and white finish may not appeal to everyone so Sprint and AT&T are teasing the release of a black variant of the popular Android handset. Both carriers have uploaded a product page for the new black color with out posting a solid street release date. So for those looking for a more dark monolithic version of the HTC One will need to wait a bit longer if they choose to hold out for that color.
Google’s Senior Vice President of Engineering, Vic Gundotra, gave a response on Google+ the other evening to a comment made by someone who hoped for the day when future Nexus phones could one day surpass the image quality of DSLR cameras. Gundotra specifically stated in response that “We are committed to making Nexus phones insanely great cameras. Just wait and see.” While the current Nexus 4 camera may be sufficient towards its purposes, there are still better.
The Series 5 550 is Samsung‘s new generation of Chromebook . Measuring 11.5’’ by 8.5” and weighing only 3.02 lbs, it easily fills the niche in between a traditionally sized laptop and a netbook. Though the casing gives the appearance of aluminum, the device (with the exception of the palm rest) is actually plastic. The “fauxluinum” on the outer casing is quite convincing, and had us guessing whether is it or isn’t it aluminum. It is easily resistant to fingerprints and smudges, and does not scuff easily.read more

Following a trend on wearable gadgets, Google recently launched their new augmented reality project; Google Glass. Google has equipped glasses with a computer and a camera, resulting in an interactive, wearable computer that helps the user find and share information. “ We believe technology should work for you – to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.” is the slogan of Google X, the branch of Google responsible for the project. The project has generated a lot of commentary already but one thing people do agree on is that the Google Glass project opens up the possibility for the inclusion of several features, which range from technological to informational and even medical. Google believes the strength of the project lies in delivering real-time information that makes users’ lives easier; that essentially makes them smarter as they have instant access to exponential amounts of information upon which to dream and build new ideas on.read more
