Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Strategy Guide Pushed Back AGAIN!

As a huge fan for this newly released title, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, I was rather upset to find out that the strategy guide has been pushed back again. Originally scheduled to release on February 7th with the game, it was posted on Facebook today that players will be able to recieve the strategy guide “in the next couple of weeks” with no offical set date. After not releaseing on the original date with the game, retailers had been told that the new release date would be this Friday, February 17th, and are now saying that it should be in stores Friday, February 24th.

Facebook files $5 billion IPO

Facebook has officially filed for its public offering and will be underwritten by Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs amongst others. The social networking based company will trade under the stock symbol “FB” when it finally goes public later this year. Dante Cesa, Engadget editor, states Facebook “is seeking to raise $5 billion, according to this early filing, amounting to a lofty (and still tentative) valuation north of $50 billion.” Mark Zuckerberg, current CEO of Facebook, has a 28.4% share in the company and will become an even more extremely wealthy man and his current $6 billion net worth would rise to nearly $30 billion.

Anonymous Threaten More Server Take Downs

Still in the throes of the SOPA and PIPA acts, recently popular file-sharing site Megaupload was taken down for violating piracy laws. As a retaliation, notorious hacker group Anonymous took down the servers and websites of the Department of Justice, FBI and Universal. It seems that Anonymous threaten to take down more websites and servers if Megaupload is not reinstated in 72 hours (now 65 hours from the time of writing).

Apple Employee Fired over Facebook Post

An Apple employee recently made some negative comments about Apple on their Facebook page. Their Facebook page was listed as private but another Apple colleague saw the comments and reported them to a manager. The employee was then quickly fired for “gross misconduct” because of violating Apple’s social policy.
