Join Andrew and Keith as they guide Juliet Starling through a zombie-infested high school with a cheesy soundtrack and completely insane characters. She's got candy and a chainsaw, so I guess she's set. I should probably be taking notes.
Ever since I got my Xbox 360, I've loved the controller. It's ergonomic and fits my hands almost perfectly. However, despite the great shape the colors and decoration options are limited. While Microsoft periodically releases specially decorated editions with big games, they are few and far between. Sadly, even the special edition controllers are only decorated differently around the case. If you'd like to change out buttons or the D-pad, you're out of luck.
Having been a Hayao Miyazaki fan for a significant portion of my life, I was only too happy to jump at the opportunity when I was offered an interview with Bandai-Namco to go over their upcoming game collaboration Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, done in conjunction with Studio Ghibli. I also got to play it for a brief interlude on the showroom floor at the PlayStation booth. The graphics, while "cartoon" like in aesthetic, are breathtaking in quality. It was like being able to control the characters while watching one of Miyazaki's films.
Microsoft's biggest franchise is returning this fall with Halo 4. The first of a new trilogy, Halo 4 (and hopefully 5 and 6) will explore the Halo Universe's backstory; specifically, the Forerunners. In a lengthy gameplay demo shown during Microsoft's E3 press conference yesterday, we join the Chief in exploring a new world. The new game takes place four years after the war with the covenant. The UNSC is slowly beginning it's re-expansion across the stars. We follow the UNSC Infinity, a warship commissioned for the war against the Covenant and now repurposed for peaceful survey duties. On route unfortunately, the Infinity is hijacked by an unknown entity and ends up on an alien planet where the Master Chief just happens to be … convenient, right? As the ship comes in for a crash landing, we flash over to the Chief.
The Walking Dead Episode 1, subtitled "A New Day," is the latest adventure game outing from Telltale Games, although the degree to which it is a game may be up for debate. You play as a felon named Lee who survives a car crash during the zombie outbreak. Lee meets up with a little girl, a group of survivors, and a few characters from the comic as he tries to find a safe haven.
