Who would have thought that jumping would be soo much fun? Doodle Jump is a game for the iPhone that will keep you glued to your iPhone till your battery dies. Doodle Jump is a relatively simple game, all you have to do is jump from platform to platform avoiding monsters and obstacles to reach the highest height and score. A unique and awesome feature to Doodle Jump is that while you are jumping you will see marks on the side of the screen that show other users highest scores. By seeing other users high scores it gives you something to strive for. Oh, did I mention that the game gets harder and more challenging the higher that you get? I do recommend you download Doodle Jump if you are looking for a fun and addictive game, its only &0.99 so download it already!

Baby Carrot Studios has brought us a fun puzzle game called Daxterpieces. Daxterpieces features the creativity of artist Dax Norman’s artwork and makes a puzzle out of it. Each puzzle is unique, upon solving them you will be surprised with a unique animation of the puzzle pieces.

Daxterpeices has 15 puzzles, sound effects with each puzzle move, and an intuitive user interface. Now I found the game quite easy to play and I suggest anyone download it that likes to solve puzzles on their iPhone or iPod Touch.

Baby Carrot Studios, creators of Daxterpieces, Daxterpieces2, and Puzz brings us a new iPhone app called Jigsaw Kiss. Jigsaw Kiss is a new puzzle game with artwork from Dax Norman.

The puzzle game consists of only 2 puzzles which are filled with stunning artwork. The puzzle can be solved with either your fingers or using the accelerometer to slide the pieces into place. Upon solving the puzzle you are greeted with a unique animation of the puzzle.

I do personally like this app, but for $1.99 I think there should be more than 2 puzzles. But the experience was unique to me and fun to solve the puzzle. Download Jigsaw Kiss and you will be in store for a unique experience.

A quick review of the new iPhone game Asland.

iPhone app developer Colorme has released a new game called Asland. You are a man named Asland, your goal is to escape the city as soon as possible before the zombies overrun you.

The game itself is action packed, you start off with just a hand gun and a ton of bloodthirsty zombies trying to get to you and rip you apart. After every stage you are presented with a map to find new supplies and weapons, with the supplies you can either repair your barricade or create traps to help get rid of the zombie threat. After you have finished searching for supplies you must prepare for nightfall to fight off another wave of zombies.

Asland has the following features:

• Realistic weapon effects and gun firing sound effects
• Original in-game music which will give you the best audio and visual experience

The sounds and graphics in Asland are stunning. Asland is also a very easy to use game, all you need to know is how to use 2 fingers on your hands. I could play Asland all day and still want to play more! For $2.99, Asland is well worth the money.

Another great game from Storm8 is iMobsters. The iMobsters game is an online RPG style game that lets you experience being a mobster. You start out as a petty thief at level 1 and grow your level and strength by getting others to join your mob and gaining experience.

The game features an easy to use interface that offers you many different menus to control your character. The menus are as follows:

Missions: Here you will find missions that you can perform that will help you gain experience and money to gain levels and purchase equipment.

Attack: The attack menu lets you attack other mobsters to steal their money.

Real Estate: This menu lets you purchase real estate to increase your income so you can keep up with your item upkeep.

Equipment: The equipment menu lets you purchase weapons and vehicles to fend off other mobsters or mobs, remember each item has its individual upkeep that you need to maintain by purchasing real estate.

Bank: The bank is where you can store your money so when other mobsters attack you, they are unable to steal any of your money that is in the bank.

Hospital: The hospital is there to heal you when you are attacked and wish to attack again but have low health.

My Mob: This menu shows your entire mob and who is in it.

Godfather: This menu offers you with ways to change your characters name, gain more money, refill energy, stamina, or health, as well as reset your character.

My Profile: This menu does just what is says, it allows you to get an overview of your current character in the game.

News Feed: The news feed shows current attacks against you, comments, and broadcasts from your mob.

This game is fun, I do recommend it to anyone that is looking for a relatively simple and easy to use game. Storm8 has made yet another great game and iMobsters definitely deserves a download.

The Twilight Movie Game app is full of trivia from the movie Twilight. If you are a big Twilight fan I suggest that you check out this app while it is free because it is not worth spending any money on.

The game starts off by letting you choose either single player or multi player with up to 4 friends. It then asks you to choose a player to answer trivia questions about. You start off with 3 hearts so if you answer 3 questions wrong you are done. The more questions you get right the more points you get, work towards high scores and compete with friends.

The current free version of this app is very short and has ads that pop up all of the time which are very annoying. If a paid version of this app comes out and is exactly the same I do not suggest downloading it because it is not worth it at all. But for quick fun and Twilight trivia, you can’t go wrong.

Platypus is a PC game-inspired arcade side-scrolling 2D game for the iPhone. This game is pure fun, and also kicks a lot of adrenaline with the amount of action it has. I’d recommend the game to anyone, especially the 2D game fans who won’t even look at the modern high-graphic 3D games.

Defend peaceful Mungola from the invading Collosatropolans using your trusty F-27 Platypus fighter plane. The game looks like its made of clay!, and the exploding clay ships and the various shooting power-ups are all the game ever needs to hook you! There are two control schemes, both p1good ones, namely tilt and touch. Both control schemes are great and easy and there is simply no down-side about the controls. The game is decently long, and has high replayability. There are five stages, each with multiple sub-stages, and it should take at least 90 minutes or so to finish each stage. The graphics are, like I said, purely clay-ish. The graphics are not life-like, and is how it is meant to be, cartoonish and fun. The beautiful sound tracks go great with the immense action you’ll be immersed into. And also, the gameplay is full of action, with clay ships exploding everywhere with your continuous shooting, and you might just get hit by one! Be careful!

Get this game if you are a hard-core 2D gamer. If you are not, get it anyway. This is as cheerful as shooting things can get, and is certainly worth all the 499 cents.

Storm8 has published many different apps for the iPhone including Kingdoms Live. Kingdoms Live is a RPG like game where you must grow your kingdom while creating allies and fighting off enemies.

The user interface is quite simple, at the top you have your current gold, experience, and current level. Below that you have your health points, mana, and spirit. The buttons below allow you to navigate different areas of the app, Land allows you to purchase more land to increase income. Ancients lets you perform options like change your name or class. The vault allows you to store gold so that when attacked, it is not stolen. The priest allows you to heal up so you may fight again. The armory allows you to purchase more armor and weapons for your troops. The battle tab allows you to fight enemies to gain gold or experience. You can even hit list people from that tab that have made you mad or that you just don’t like. The recruit section allows you to add new allies to your army, you will need more people to attack higher level people. The higher your level the more people you need in your army.

Also on the main screen is the news section.

The news feed allows you to see who attacked you, who has commented on your profile and also your army broadcasts.

Overall I rate this as a good app, it is FREE and fun to play in your free time. The app doesn’t take up a lot of time and is relatively easy to understand. I recommend that you try this app, you wont be disappointed.
