Let Fly Contacts by Daniel Aspenwall, is a very simple yet valuable app for the iPhone. The app does one thing and one thing only, it backs up your contact list to an email account you specify. Once you launch the app you can enter your email address and the amount of detail you want from your contacts and it will send you an HTML formatted contact list. Now I have to say that I think this app is great, the HTML formatted contact list is very well organized and the app was very easy to use. Although it would be nice to see a way to restore your contacts with this app as well, maybe in the future.

Ever want to work on Microsoft Word or Excel documents from your mobile phone? Well DataViz has made it easy with their Documents To Go (DocsToGo) application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

With the DocsToGo app you can sync word or excel documents from your home computer and then edit them on the go. DocsToGo will also allow you to view, but not edit PDF documents, Powerpoint documents, and many other file formats.

Now DocsToGo is somewhat easy to setup, first you will have to visit DataViz website and select your phone OS. Then download the application to your phone, and also make sure you download the DocToGo desktop application for your home computer while you are there. Once you have the desktop application installed launch it and the program will try to find your mobile phone, once you have launched the app on your phone it will give you a code to sync, just enter that in the window on your home computer and voila the devices are now paired. For this process to work, your phone and computer have to be on the same network.

Now I have tried DocsToGo and have found it incredibly easy to use for all of the functionality that it offers. I did have to try and sync it a couple of times (my phone was having trouble)  then it worked just fine. I have been able to edit and view documents on my iPhone. DocsToGo is by far the most feature rich Word and Excel document editor out there yet.

There are two versions of DocsToGo, there is the regular version and the premium version. The regular DocsToGo is $9.99 as of 1-4-10, and premium is $14.99 as of 1-4-10. The differences between each version is listed below:
