Sky Master, created by iCoder is an iPhone application dedicated to providing its users incredible views of the sky based on their location. You can view the sky based on your location, you can see stars and planets as well as zoom in on them. You can select specific stars or search for specific stars or constellations and see their exact locations on the screen and more detailed pictures. This app will tell you what is out there.
Sky Master is a very interesting and innovative application with lots of potential. The only flaw that I have seen with their current release 2.0 is that it tends to crash sporadically. I will keep my eye on this app, because once the stability is fixed, the app will be even more valuable.

Who would have thought that jumping would be soo much fun? Doodle Jump is a game for the iPhone that will keep you glued to your iPhone till your battery dies. Doodle Jump is a relatively simple game, all you have to do is jump from platform to platform avoiding monsters and obstacles to reach the highest height and score. A unique and awesome feature to Doodle Jump is that while you are jumping you will see marks on the side of the screen that show other users highest scores. By seeing other users high scores it gives you something to strive for. Oh, did I mention that the game gets harder and more challenging the higher that you get? I do recommend you download Doodle Jump if you are looking for a fun and addictive game, its only &0.99 so download it already!

iNet for the iPhone or iPod touch will allow you to see what hosts and services are available and running on your network. iNet allows you to scan the network that you are connected to for anything that is connected to it. When you find a particular host, you can run a port scan on it to see what ports are open, iNet will also display what Bonjour services are running and able to connect to. Bonjour services are zero configuration networking services for connecting to devices such as printers.
The iNet app is really easy to use and I think it is very hand to see what is available on your network. iNet allows you to see what network vulnerabilities are visible on your own network from your mobile device.
iNet shows the devices connected to your local network, e. g. computer or router, along with their name, IP and vendor. You can find out the name, vendor and IP of the connected devices as well as the kind and number of running Bonjour services on that particular device. You can also perform a classic portscan on the choosen device.
The technology used in iNet scans on a very low level, therefore you even find machines that don`t want to be found, e. g. a computer running in stealth mode.
Most items are displayed by their real name so that you can easily identify what is going on in the network you are scanning, which computers are connected or which services are running. For most Apple Macintosh Computers you even see the particular computer model.
The last 10 scan results are saved automatically. In addition you can save your scan results and name them. A send scan per mail is available too.
Ping
Ping is a computer network tool used to test whether a particular host is reachable across an IP network. The ping section in iNet enables you to find out wether an IP exists (if its ping service is enabled; otherwise you will get no response ). For your convenience we added a bookmark function to store often needed addresses.
Bonjour-Browser
Bonjour or “zero configuration networking” is a widely used industry standard for connecting computer and computer devices ,e.g. printers. The Bonjour-Browser in iNet scans the connected local network for Bonjour services, detecting any hardware that ist connected via the Bonjour protocol (e. g. computer, router, printer, …) and any software running Bonjour services, e. g. iTunes® or Filemaker®.
Wake on lan
WOL is a wakeup tool for computer connected by an ethernet cable to a local network or to the internet. The outstanding feature of our implementation is its easiness of usage and the simple setup process. A bookmark function for often used hosts is integrated also. Portscan
Applications on devices communicate with the outside world through so called TCP-Ports. iNet detects whether ports are open or closed.
A quick portscan is available after performing a network scan. Here iNet checks TCP ports in the range of 1 to 1000 plus a number of standard ports that are often used.
A sophisticated portscan is available via the main menu of iNet. You can select from predefined portlists, enter port ranges and single ports. The ports to scan can be saved per device. For all found open ports the service using this port is displayed by its real name if available.
Device info
The device info in iNet shows some information related to your iPhone or iPod touch, e. g. its name or its IP.

iFaceLaugh is one of those apps that you can just have fun with, and have fun using it with friends. The iFaceLaugh app allows you to record your best laughs and then compete with your friends for the best laugh. You can compete with your friends online with the app or send your laughs to family and friends.
The bonus game which allows you to compete to best mimic the current laugh selected is pretty fun and can be addicting.
Now iFaceLaugh may not have a practical use, but if you and your friends are bored and want to have some fun, try iFaceLaugh.

Melodis offers an alternative to ShazamShazam with their app called SoundHound. SoundHound does everything that Shazam does and more.
Upon launching SoundHound, you are greeted with a simple and easy to use GUI. The main screen offers you options to “Tap Here” to identify a current song, or you can press “Title or Artist” to speak an artist, or song title into your phone or, search with text. There are also 3 menus at the bottom of the app that include; History (displays your recent searches), Whats Hot (displays what people are searching most for), Now Playing (this menu will show you what song you are currently playing from SoundHound).
One of the coolest features I have seen so far is that when you press the “Tap Here” for “What’s that song?” you can even hum the song that you know and SoundHound will find the song for you (considering you are humming the right song).
An even cooler feature, if SoundHound finds a song that is in your library as well, it will have an iPod icon next to the song so you can hear it from your own library.

Now I have tried out SoundHound and found it to be a feature rich and easy to use app to identify songs. I personally love the hum the song feature. I do recommend SoundHound to anyone who wants something better than Shazam and is willing to spend the money.

Baby Carrot Studios has brought us a fun puzzle game called Daxterpieces. Daxterpieces features the creativity of artist Dax Norman’s artwork and makes a puzzle out of it. Each puzzle is unique, upon solving them you will be surprised with a unique animation of the puzzle pieces.
Daxterpeices has 15 puzzles, sound effects with each puzzle move, and an intuitive user interface. Now I found the game quite easy to play and I suggest anyone download it that likes to solve puzzles on their iPhone or iPod Touch.
Baby Carrot Studios, creators of Daxterpieces, Daxterpieces2, and Puzz brings us a new iPhone app called Jigsaw Kiss. Jigsaw Kiss is a new puzzle game with artwork from Dax Norman.
The puzzle game consists of only 2 puzzles which are filled with stunning artwork. The puzzle can be solved with either your fingers or using the accelerometer to slide the pieces into place. Upon solving the puzzle you are greeted with a unique animation of the puzzle.
I do personally like this app, but for $1.99 I think there should be more than 2 puzzles. But the experience was unique to me and fun to solve the puzzle. Download Jigsaw Kiss and you will be in store for a unique experience.
Synthatic Infatuation LLC has released a new iPhone app called Hipstamatic. Hipstamatic allows you to take pictures with your iPhone with different lens styles. The app comes with a few different lenses for you to try out, and many more that you can purchase to make your pictures on your iPhone more stunning!
Hipstamatic offers many different lens styles from: Vignettes, blurring, to over saturation, they even offer a flash effect for your pictures. Hipstamatic is a very cool app that will allow you to experiment and have fun taking pictures on your iPhone.

I have tried this app and it was not very hard to use so I do suggest trying it out if you like taking lots of pictures with your iPhone and are looking for more from your pictures. I do warn you, this app may not be that easy to use for the average iPhone user, so try it with caution.
iPhone app developer Colorme has released a new game called Asland. You are a man named Asland, your goal is to escape the city as soon as possible before the zombies overrun you.
The game itself is action packed, you start off with just a hand gun and a ton of bloodthirsty zombies trying to get to you and rip you apart. After every stage you are presented with a map to find new supplies and weapons, with the supplies you can either repair your barricade or create traps to help get rid of the zombie threat. After you have finished searching for supplies you must prepare for nightfall to fight off another wave of zombies.

The sounds and graphics in Asland are stunning. Asland is also a very easy to use game, all you need to know is how to use 2 fingers on your hands. I could play Asland all day and still want to play more! For $2.99, Asland is well worth the money.
Remember the old days when phones were not made of buttons but actually had mechanical parts? Well Joshua Minor has brought us back to those days with the Rotary Dialer app for the iPhone.
The Rotary Dialer app features retro style Rotary phones that are fully functional! This app is a lot of fun to play with, you can actually drag the rotary dial phone and input a number and call it. This is just one of those fun apps that has great functionality. I do recommend it as a download for anyone that finds this interesting.
Ever want to work on Microsoft Word or Excel documents from your mobile phone? Well DataViz has made it easy with their Documents To Go (DocsToGo) application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
With the DocsToGo app you can sync word or excel documents from your home computer and then edit them on the go. DocsToGo will also allow you to view, but not edit PDF documents, Powerpoint documents, and many other file formats.
Now DocsToGo is somewhat easy to setup, first you will have to visit DataViz website and select your phone OS. Then download the application to your phone, and also make sure you download the DocToGo desktop application for your home computer while you are there. Once you have the desktop application installed launch it and the program will try to find your mobile phone, once you have launched the app on your phone it will give you a code to sync, just enter that in the window on your home computer and voila the devices are now paired. For this process to work, your phone and computer have to be on the same network.
Now I have tried DocsToGo and have found it incredibly easy to use for all of the functionality that it offers. I did have to try and sync it a couple of times (my phone was having trouble) then it worked just fine. I have been able to edit and view documents on my iPhone. DocsToGo is by far the most feature rich Word and Excel document editor out there yet.
