The long-serving United Kingdom retailer GAME has had financial struggles recently, and this morning GAME posted the intention of filing for administration. The two-decade-long established store will likely meet its end in the next couple of weeks or months.

Xbox Live Profile Data Resetting

Earlier today Xbox Live users were experiencing problems with the gaming history in their Xbox live profiles. A mess of crap was happening including an entire loss of gaming history and resetting precious GamerScores to zero.
It seems that loading up a game or earning an achievement would cause this loss of data for a majority of its users, resulting in achievement history being replaced and reset, games unlocking all of its achievements at once upon loading, loss of purchase history and profile data (such as the self-edited biographies or Avatar’s clothes).

Pokémon Black & White 2 coming to America

After months of non-confirmed rumors, Nintendo have finally announced a sequel to Pokemon Black and White. The sequel won’t be entitled Pokémon Grey instead being announced as Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.

Microsoft Points for Xbox Live

Microsoft Points, shortened to MSP, were used as currency to buy Microsoft Software. It was implemented for users of Xbox Live. As Microsoft and the gaming community and hardware are expanding into a more casual open media front there are rumors that Microsoft plans to get rid of the current system of having to buy Microsoft Points to buy software and other items from its online store/marketplace.

SOPA Dead For Now

The Stop Online Piracy Act has been sunk “until there is a wider agreement on a solution” said Congressman Lamar Smith, who introduced the act last October. This comes after the worldwide response with the Internet Blackout, the takedown of Megaupload, and a retaliatory strike by Anonymous. In addition, the Protect Intellectual Property Act vote has been postponed.
