Huawei Unveils World’s Slimmest Smartphone at CES

Huawei has launched Ascend P1 S, “world’s slimmest smartphone”, earlier today at CES 2012. The P1 will feature a Dual-Core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display (960×540), and come in a 6.68mm thin design. The P1 S screen will be made of Corning Gorilla Glass. Huawei has also introduced another smartphone called the Ascend P1 which is slightly thicker than the S model coming in at 7.69mm thin.

Parrot Launches New AR. Drone 2.0 w/ 720p HD Camera

The new AR.Drone 2.0 is here and hosting a some improvements and advantages at CES 2012. There is a 720p HD camera/camcorder with a fixed lens with no flash capabilities on board along with new flight controls and features. The drone will be priced at $299.99 just as its predecessor was at launch. The video you record via the drone is automatically loaded to the phone or tablet you use to control the drone via a WIFI connection.

ACER outs Worlds Thinnest 13.3” Aspire S5 Ultrabook

ACER, with the debut of the Aspire S5 Ultrabook, has now added it’s name to the list of several companies that will undoubtedly release thin laptops at CES 2012. The S5 will be 13.3-inch Ultrabook that will feature HDMI, USB 3.0, and Thunderbolt ports (20Gbps) It will also have a Solid State Drive (SSD), Instant On functionality that enables a fast boot and resume, and a magnesium-aluminum alloy cover and palmrest.

Eee Pad Transformer Slated to get Ice Cream Sandwich

ASUS has confirmed that the Eee Pad Transformer will be receiving Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update sometime after January 12, 2012. This update will most likely coincide with the launch of the next generation tablet from ASUS called the Eee Pad Transformer Prime (TF201).
