Sprint Nextel Acquires Majority Control of Clearwire

Sprint Nextel Corporation has acquired 50.8 percent of Clearwire Corp stake after a deal that bought out Eagle River Holdings’ from ownership in the company. It appears Sprint may want more control over an LTE strategy at a quick pace. Now Sprint will be able to make any choices it wants since it now has more say over Clearwire’s network.
