LG Introduces its First Android-Powered LTE Tablet

LG Optimus PadToday LG Electronics unveiled their first Android tablet, the Optimus Pad LTE.The Korean based company included in this tablet LTE technology and a True HD IPS display at a 1280 x 720 resolution.

“With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it’s not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity,”

said President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company Dr. Jong-seok Park

The LG Optimus Pad LTE contains an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera Also it has a fulls SD memory card slot expandable to 32GB.

LG also included “easy-to-use controls and functions” Such as their Smart Movie Editor for editing pictures and videos. There are also more features mentioned in the press release. ‘

The LG Optimus Pad LTE showcases a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core processor running Android 3.2 Honeycomb. With HDMI and DLNA support, and a 6,800 mAh battery.

The LG Optimus Pad weighs 479 g and is only 9.34mm thin.

The tablet will initially launch in Korea.
