Netflix has been in the spotlight many times lately and it has not all been good news either. Fortunately, today we have something positive to bring to you. Netflix a designed a brand new User Interface (UI) for Android tablets and will be bringing a new experience to the Apple iOS counterparts in the future as well. The new UI will included different rows of titles and expanded film artwork.
According to Netflix representatives “The redesigned Netflix experience is much more immersive and provides more focus on the growing Netflix catalog by displaying twice as many titles than the previous interface.” It is odd to see that Apple devices will not see this update at the same time or before their Android counterparts. Apple has usually remained dominant when it comes to the updating or availability of a cross platform application. This could be attributed to the wide growing adoption of popular Android tablets such as the Nook Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and the Kindle Fire. In any case, Android users can enjoy the new Netflix UI now and it “should be available for members with iPads in a few weeks.” We will be sure to add a video overview of the application once it is available for the iPad 2.
