Apple Customers have fled to the Apple Discussion Boards to report that the latest iOS update did not fix battery issues. iOS 5.0.1 was released yesterday as an OTA (Over The Air) update to users and was said to fix current Battery life issues users were experiencing.

Despite Apple’s promises, users continued to experience the same battery issues even after the update. Most issues with battery life were reported by users of the new Apple iPhone 4S. After numerous posts on the Apple Discussion Boards, Apple released a statement that they are looking back into the issue yet again:

“The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices,” said Trudy Muller, a spokeswoman for Cupertino, California-based Apple. “We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”

Apple believes that the issue is not as widespread as it seems and only affects a small portion of the iPhone 4S user base. However the issue is still important so solve.
