Apple Releases First OTA Update for iOS

Apple today has released their first Over The Air update to the public since the release of iOS 5. The update brings users to iOS 5.0.1. The update brings a few new features and a couple bug fixes to iOS 5.

The update includes the following changes:

  • Fixes bugs affecting battery life
  • Adds multitasking gestures to the original iPad
  • Resolves bugs with documents in the Cloud
  • Improves voice recognition for Australian user using dictation
The update affects users running the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and iPod touch 4th and 3rd Gen. So, if you havent already head on over to Settings > General > Software Update to get the latest update Over the Air or just connect your device to iTunes.
