Google released their all new Gmail for iOS app today which was pulled only 2 hours later by Google. The app was released to the public at large with a slew of bugs. Users who were lucky or unlucky to try out the app before it was pulled got errors like “aps-environment error entitlement” or other notification errors. Users reported these errors to Google which caused the app to be pulled off Apples App Store very quickly.
Dave Girourard, Google’s Cloud Applications lead tweeted: “Googla culpa! Sorry but we pushed a bad version of our iOS app for Gmail. More info shortly – we’re working on it.” Google will likely correct the errors very quickly and we will then see the app back in the App Store.
