Google Tells us how to Block Targeted Ads

Google has given us a little bit of good news. If you are annoyed by ads that are displayed while using, you can now block them. The ads can be simply blocked by clicking the text next to the ad that reads “Why these Ads” and follow the instructions on the Google Ad Preferences Manager. The popup information after you click this link will explain why the ad was displayed to you, likely it was displayed because of recent search results. Once an ad has been blocked, no more ads from that URL or provider will display again, this change can also be undone at any time. Google does reassure us that the data being collected is only being used to give you a better experience when looking for goods and services on the search engine.
