Microsoft Announces Limited Public Invite to Beta Dashboard Preview Program

Microsoft opens up their latest Xbox Live dashboard preview program. The new dashboard was previewed back at E3 2011 and looks to be a very “Metroesque” design. We have provided a link below of where to find more information to sign up for the preview before its closed. Those special few will be able to try out the new UI designs, new Kinect integration and controller navigation, cloud storage for game saves, and several other new features.

There is no set date for the preview program to begin, but those who register will receive an email once update is available. According to the Microsoft related link below, “other features and entertainment partner apps may come into view during the program period.” All consoles that participate in the program may have some software issues which are to be expected when testing a new software interface, but Microsoft assures us that a console that updates in the program will remain as fully functional as the same consoles not participating in the preview program.
