Samsung teases the Nexus Prime?

Shortly after Apple announced their new iPhone 4S, Samsung unveils “something BIG is coming” at a Samsung event to take place on October 11th in San Diego. At first glance it looks like it could be a new tablet of some kind. But with all the rumors of a new Nexus to release, codenamed the Nexus Prime, we believe it will be a new smartphone set to release exclusively on Verizon Wireless in the U.S. Video after the break!

Based on the image we can the device has a 3-pin dock connector and power button on the side. BGR reports they have it on good authority from a trusted source of what Samsung will unveil at their event next Tuesday. They go on to say the device will feature the following features:

  • “Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 9mm thin
  • 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD with curved glass
  • TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 32GB of built-in storage
  • 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel in the front
  • 1080p HD video capture support
  • LTE/HSPA depending on carrier
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • NFC
  • 1,750 mAh battery”

Reports all over the web concur that the device will be a vanilla Google experience without any third-party manufacturer User Interfaces, such as TouchWiz.
