Virgin Mobile had added another device to its growing Android portfolio and its name is the HTC Wildfire S. It will be the first HTC smartphone to be on Virgin Mobile and it will be available in an exclusive Silver color at Best Buy stores and an exclusive color of White at RadioShack retail outlets on the October 23rd release of this device. The price is to be set at $199.99, a usual start up price for Android devices on Pre-Paid carriers.
The Wildfire S will feature Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 5-Megapixel camera with Flash, and a 600MHz processor. We are curious to see how well or not the HTC Wildfire S will fair running Gingerbread, the HTC Sense User Interface, along with all those Virgin Mobile bloatwares on a 600MHz processor. We hope to get our hands on a review unit to tell you just how well.
