The Taiwanese government seems to have an idea how to make its citizens happy. They are conducting a trial which consists of 2,500 Wi-Fi hotspots spread around Taiwan to provide free access to the internet on a trial basis. The trial will only last 6 months starting October 10th.
Wireless hot spots will be located at airports, sea ports, railway stations, mass rapid transit stations, public libraries, recreational facilities, and scenic places. The only down fall is that the free internet will be limited to speeds of 512Kbps and will not allow video or audio streaming of any kind. Well that sorta takes the fun out of it.
