Facebook brings new messenger app to iPhone and Android

Today, Facebook released a new messenger mobile app for iPhone and Android devices. Now you can bypass the Facebook application for communication and go straight to messaging. It almost seems like Facebook is trying to bring up back to the beginning of the last decade when AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) was a popular avenue for communication. You can talk with individuals or small groups with this application.

The messages are delivered through notifications and texts, provided those people have the application installed themselves. In addition, you can attach photos and location to the messages.
