Google blocks from search results

Google has taken the attack on malware into its own hands today as it blocks the entire subdomain. The block removed about 11 million results from the Google search index which should dramatically clean up much malware in search results. is classified by Google as a “freehost” and is owned by a company in Korea that allows bulk purchasing of domains, offers free domains, or offers them really cheap. A scan Google performed on the domain revealed that an extremely high percentage of their sites were riddled with malware.

I can say this change Google has made is welcome and should make search results much easier to sift though in the future. This is a great example on how much control Google actually has on it’s results on the web.
