AT&T is looking to get a piece of the 4G LTE pie that Verizon has a firm grasp on. They have announced today that they are going to roll out 4G in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and San Antonio this summer and another 10 markets yet to be determined later in the year. AT&T also states that they plan to add 20 new 4G devices to their portfolio this year most being HSPA+ and some LTE. No more details have been provided, check the press release below for more info.
AT&T will have to play the catch up game with Verizon Wireless. We haven’t heard any guaranteed line speeds yet we will have to see if they can match Verizon’s speeds on LTE.
