Bomb threat at Apple Distribution Center

Apple Elk Grove Distribution Center - DPR ConstructionToday officials received a threat that there was a bomb inside one of Apple’s 3 Distribution Center buildings in Elk Grove, California. Police responded and promptly evacuated the 3 buildings of the hundreds of Apple employees present.

The buildings were about 100,000 square feet in size so the search for the bomb did take quite some time. The call came in at 8am PST and the search ended around 5pm PST. At that time police gave the “All Clear” and employees were allowed back into the buildings.

The buildings contain refurbished and returned Apple products as well as human resources for Apple. So if you were expecting a refurbished Apple product to ship today, you may have to wait another day. [ai]
