So Verizon got the iPhone 4

Verizon iPhone 4 Released

So the rumors were true, Verizon announced the iPhone 4 on January 11th coming to their network. The new iPhone 4 on Verizon will be a CDMA version of the phone which will not be backwards compatible with GSM. The Phone will be available on their network starting on February 10th 2011 for $199.99 upgrade at 16GB.

The iPhone 4 on Verizon will not support their 4G LTE network it will only support 3G at this point. The phone will also support Verizon’s mobile hotspot feature which is available on most of it’s Android phones.

There is also a small difference in the design of the Antenna on the CDMA version of the iPhone. There are 2 notches on the AT&T version of the iPhone 4 but on the Verizon version there are now 4. We will have to see if this change affects the signal degradation problem that affected the AT&T version will also be seen on Verizon.

How many users are going to move to Verizon?, only time will tell.
