- Fix canonical redirection for permalinks containing %category% with nested categories and paging.
- Fix occasional irrelevant error messages on plugin activation.
- Minor XSS fixes in request_filesystem_credentials() and when deleting a plugin.
- Clarify the license in the readme
- Multisite: Fix the delete_user meta capability
- Multisite: Force current_user_can_for_blog() to run map_meta_cap() even for super admins

Apple has just released an update to the terms of service for Game Center on iOS devices. The terms have been updated with a key feature that is worth mentioning. Game Center will now use your real name when adding people to your friends list. At the beginning of the terms it reads:
IMPORTANT NOTE: We have changed the Game Center terms and conditions to provide you notice that if you send a friend invitation, the full name associated with your Apple ID will be shared with the recipient. If you accept a friend invitation, the full name associated with your Apple ID will be shared with the sender.
This move is similar to what Blizzard had done with Battle.net earlier this year. When you recieve a request from someone you will see both their nickname and their real name in the request. This change honestly doesn’t bother me because I have been used to it on Blizzard games but I do not see a need for it on iOS devices, especially phones.read more
The U.S. Government has been very busy. Without any need for COICA, ICE has just seized BitTorrent domains and other music linking sites which appear to be connected to counterfeit goods. It is complex but possible for U.S. authorities and copyright organizations to point at a fully-fledged BitTorrent site with a tracker and say
“that’s an infringing site.”
When they look at a site which hosts torrents but does not operates a tracker, the finger pointing becomes quite a bit more difficult.
Visitors to the Torrent-Finder.com site are greeted with an eye opening home page which indicates that ICE have seized the site’s domain.
It seems that Microsoft may be in talks with media companies to license TV shows and movies for a new streaming service. With the addition of ESPN to the Xbox 360 over Xbox Live Microsoft may be in a position to do the same for different content providers and charge a subscription fee for them separately. The idea is to better personalize content and only pay for what you want to watch instead of paying cable companies for all the channels you don’t watch. Microsoft is looking into duplicating what they have done with ESPN to include channels such as Showtime or HBO and possibly Disney.
Google TV and Netflix will be the services main competitors with Netflix already available on the Xbox 360. But what will happen to Netflix on the Xbox when this feature is released? I honestly welcome live TV on the Xbox as long as it is live otherwise I will still watch my favorite TV shows on Netflix which is now $7.99 for unlimited streaming.read more
