Zune Marketplace makes a large jump…. to Europe

So Microsoft Zune just made a large leap. Literally, across the Atlantic. The Zune Marketplace is now available in some parts of Europe. This makes it should like the Windows Phone 7 will be coming soon behind.

This release says that all 11 million tracks in the US and 8 million tracks in UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany will be available. Yes those countries are in Europe!

And now for the Zune Pass. The US price is still $US15, but it will be 9.99 euros or 8.99 pounds.

There are some limitations;

  • The Zune Pass will only be in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy and Spain.
  • The Zune music purchase will only be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Spain and Germany.
  • The Zune Video purchase will only be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
  • The Zune movie rental  will only be available in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

I am in my senior year of high-school. My goal is to graduate college with a BS in Computer Engineering and move on to work for Microsoft. I have wanted to review product for a few years now but I never had a website to post them on. I started learning about computers was in 6th grade. Got my first computer. A Windows 95 system. And it all started from there.
