Nokia to compete against iPhone and Android with the E7

You don’t hear much about Nokia when it comes to smartphone news. All you hear is Apple this and Android that but silence in the corner of Nokia. Well Nokia has been working on it’s own smartphone to compete with the iPhone and Android phones called the E7. Although no official specs have been released the phone will most likely match its competitors or be slightly better. The CEO of Nokia had the following to say about the upcoming release:

“We are approaching the end of this painful product transition at the high end of our product portfolio,” he said during the company’s last earnings call. “[Our new smartphones] will mark the beginning of our renewal. As we go forward I believe we will regain high-end leadership in our industry.” – Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo

We love to see competition and consumers will benefit from Nokia joining the fight. Competition fuels innovation and lowers prices for consumers. Check back here often as the Nokia E7 approaches its launch which is rumored mid September.
