Gmail overhauled with a slighly changed look

I went to go check my Gmail today and noticed something a little different. I opened my Gmail and was greeted with the image above. Upon further checking on the Official Gmail blog I noticed that they had added a post explaining what had been done.

Google has made some changes to how the contacts list works based on user feedback that they had received. Shortcuts are now available in contacts now much like they have been for everything else. You can also now sort your Gmail contacts by last name which should make it much easier to find who you are looking for. Another feature I like is that you can add custom labels now to contacts just like you can to messages in your inbox. The notes field for contacts is also much bigger and easier to edit. If you would like to hide the tasks or contacts field you can do so by clicking the minus sign on the right side of each.
