WWDC 2010 Keynote Recap

Today was a very exciting day for the Apple community as Steve Jobs took the stage at WWDC 2010 for the opening Keynote. During the keynote we tried to cover it as much as possible on our live weblog here. I would like to take the time now and recap what happened.

  • WWDC had 5,200 attendees people from 57 different countries and sold out in 8 days
  • 8,500 native iPad apps in the app store
  • Added PDF viewing in iBooks
  • Netflix on the iPhone
  • Farmville on the iPhone
  • Guitar Hero for the iPhone
  • iPhone 4 Released
  • iPhone 4 has front facing camera
  • Retina display for insane clarity
  • iPhone includes an A4 Processor
  • iPhone 4 has, 7 hours of 3g talk, 6 hours of 3g browsing, 10 hrs of Wifi Browsing, 10 hrs of video, 300 hrs of standby
  • Up to 32GB storage on iPhone 4
  • Quad-band HSDPA/HSUPA: 7.2 MBPS down, 5.8mbs upload, dual mic noise suppression
  • 3-axis gyroscope, adding pitch/roll/yaw, rotation around gravity, Steve says this is perfect for gaming
  • 5x digital zoom, built into the camera app
  • Record 720p HD Video
  • iMovie on the iPhone
  • iPhone OS 4 will now be called iOS 4
  • iBooks will now be on the iPhone
  • iAds
  • and last but not least, Live Video Conference calls on the iPhone 4 with Face Time
  • iPhone 4 Pricing $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB
  • iPhone 4 Available June 24th

Well thats it, and for anyone wondering if they can upgrade to the iPhone 4 early, yes you can: AT&T is upgrading eligibility details: If your contract is up any time in 2010, you can upgrade to the iPhone 4 (If you renew your contract).
