Skype not moving to Windows 7 mobile

You heard it right folks, Skype has decided to drop development for the Windows 7 mobile platform. As noted by Smarthouse.com.au at an event in Sydney Australia, Dan Neary the Asia Pacific Vice President for Skype mentioned that development had stopped for the Windows 7 mobile platform but was hesitant to state specific reasons. But he did ensure us that new development ideas for the iPhone, iPad, and Android OS were in development.

I can only venture a guess on why Skype decided to stop development, maybe Microsoft was not allowing Skype access to the tools they needed to create their product. Stay tuned for more to come on the Windows7 mobile OS.
