Microsoft Tag comes out of beta today

Microsoft announced today that they were taking the beta off of their QR tag service called Microsoft Tag. Over a year ago Microsoft thought that they could make a better QR code, with skepticism at first Microsoft seems to have done it.

Microsoft claims to have more than 1 billion tags in circulation and printed by businesses all over the world. The Tags have also appeared in over 20 million magazines world wide. Microsoft says the tags will be free to use for basic services such as for linking to websites, you can just go to Tag.Microsoft.com to create and deliver tags. Microsoft plans to offer additional services to businesses using Tags such as advanced reporting and real time location services.

Apple iPad launch goes international today

The iPad has launched in 9 countries, the iPad is available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK. The iPad is being greeted by a frenzy of buyers all over the world. Long lines to purchase the iPad have been reported from Asia and the UK.

Even with the string of recent suicides of Foxconn workers where the iPad and other Apple products are built the iPad is still not affected. People all over the world are still hurrying to the Apple Store to get their hands on an iPad. Check out the video below for a glipse at the people that were waiting for their iPad.
